Under the supervision of the Department of Special Education, Student Services, or Site Administrator, and under the professional direction of a California credentialed District nurse, a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) performs a variety of specialized health care procedures for students and provide direct clinical care to meet the health needs of students.

REPORTS TO: Department of Special Education, Student Services, or Site Administrator
WORK SITE: Brookside Elementary School/Department of Special Education
WORK SCHEDULE: 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM (6.0 hours/day)
WORK YEAR: A = 182 Work Days + 13 Holidays (10 Months)
SALARY SCHEDULE: 260
RANGE: 26 = $ 31.72 to $43.40** per hour
**Experience Credit: A maximum of two (2) years may be granted for experience outside of the Beaumont Unified School District. Therefore, the maximum starting hourly rate is $ 34.30 per hour (Range 26/Step 3) per Article 6.2 of the CSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
-Education: Completion of all coursework in good standing from an accredited college or university required for that institution’s Licensed Vocational Nursing program.
-Experience: One to two years of nursing-related experience working with children or adults with disabilities and/or severe medical needs.
-Licenses, Certifications, and Testing:
--Possession of valid State of California License of Vocational Nursing in good standing;
--A current and valid First Aid Certificate;
--A current and valid CPR Certificate;
--Pass a pre-employment physical and drug test;
--A current and valid Tuberculosis (TB) clearance;
--Fingerprint clearance for school personnel;
--Must possess a valid California driver license during the course of employment and be insurable by the District’s liability insurance carrier.
