The purpose of the Program Portal and Data Management Team is to capture data that can inform us how to create a balance between compliance and quality. To allow for efficient and purposeful processes for looking at elements of our work at Beyond The Bell as part of a continuous quality improvement cycle that aims to offer standards for high-quality expanded learning programs. The Area Program Supervisor plays a pivotal role in delivering technical assistance that aims at reinforcing knowledge, building capacity, brokering resources, mentoring, and coaching.

Class Code 5371
Supervises and assists in coordinating enrichment and/or recreation programs in District out-of-school program sites at elementary and secondary schools and educational complexes.
Typical Duties:
- Assists in selecting and developing out-of-school personnel by planning and conducting training, coaching, consultation, mentoring, and managing resources as needed.
- Supervises and assists in coordinating enrichment and/or recreation activities at out-of-school program school sites.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of out-of-school program personnel and organized program activities by on-site observation.
- Participates in developing community interest in enrichment and/or recreation activities.
Knowledge of:
- Methods of assessing out-of-school program needs of specific communities
- Safety considerations in the organization and operation of enrichment and/or recreation activities
- Enrichment and/or recreation interests of communities served
- Youth Development Principles and Learning in Afterschool Principles
- Strategies for developing assistance and ongoing support
Part-time (afternoon hours)
Monday to Friday
Reports to Beyond The Bell Beaudry central office. Will require travel to sites within the district to perform duties.
Beyond the Bell Employment Requirements

for processing by BTB and LAUSD which consists of the following:
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- You must present your original high school diploma/GED/official high school transcripts/college diploma.

- If you attended a school in a different school district outside of LAUSD or out of state, please visit that school district’s website.
- If you attended a school in a different country, foreign transcripts and degrees must be evaluated by one of the approved organizations listed on the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing website: https://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/transcripts. These organizations are private enterprises who charge a fee for their services.
What if your name doesn’t match the name on your diploma?
- You must provide proof of name change, i.e., marriage certificate or name change documents from the court.
Submit an adult-negative Tuberculosis (TB) Test or TB Risk Assessment within 60 days
before your processing appointment.

Note, the Social Security Card and Photo ID must be in its original form for processing. A picture print out, photo screen shots, laminated Social Security Cards will not be accepted.
If presenting a Social Security Card and Driver’s License or ID:
Both cards must match.
Must include all names and hyphens.
If your name on the two (2) documents do not match, please visit your local Social Security Office and DMV to correct your name.
- LAUSD will fingerprint and conduct a government/criminal background check, which will cost $56 and will be automatically deducted from two of your checks ($28×2).
- All Beyond the Bell program employees that work at a school site directly with students are required to always keep a valid First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification Card during employment. Newly hired staff must obtain a First Aid and CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
