Holy Cross School in Santa Cruz, CA, seeks a dedicated and qualified Long-Term Substitute Teacher for our 5th-grade class. This position will begin in April 2025 and extend through November 2025 (Summer vacation months excluded). The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment that reflects our mission to educate and guide children in their spiritual, intellectual, and moral development. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons across core subject areas. - Manage the classroom effectively to create a positive learning environment. - Assess and monitor student progress to ensure academic growth. - Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to foster a strong home-school connection. - Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to uphold the mission and values of Holy Cross School.
