The Superintendent serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Environmental Charter Schools (ECS), reporting to the Board of Directors. This individual will lead ECS' mission to improve educational outcomes for low-income students of color by providing visionary leadership, shaping organizational strategy, and achieving exceptional academic and operational outcomes. ECS encompasses schools, serving approximately 1700 students, with a team of 280 employees. The Superintendent will ensure ECS remains a model for equity-driven, environmentally sustainable, and innovative education, overseeing curriculum, instruction, professional development, operational efficiency, and stakeholder engagement. The leader will embody ECS’s core values and foster a culture of excellence and inclusion, enabling every student to thrive academically and socially.
