Job Summary
General Responsibilities: Under the immediate supervision of the school psychologist, the intern school psychologist will perform supervised individual and group counseling, crisis intervention and consultation/outreach, conduct psycho-educational evaluations for special education and section 504 eligibility, conduct functional behavior assessments and develop appropriate behavior plans, work collaboratively with teachers, administrators and staff, consult with teachers and parents, and participate in Study Study Team, IEP, and 504 meetings. Training and Support: Ongoing professional development will be provided through District offerings and monthly psychologist meetings. Supervision will be provided by a District school psychologist who has a minimum of three years of full-time experience as a practicing school psychologist. Supervision will be provided a minimum of two hours per week while school is in session and will be provided individually and/or in a small group.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC) Program in School Psychology • CA Internship Credential (PPS) or letter from college/university indicating eligibility in lieu of a credential • Copy of Transcript (Master’s Degree) • Letter of Introduction • Resume • One Letter of Recommendation (within the past two years)
