About the Employer
The Chawanakee Unified School District is within a 30-minute drive of Fresno, Madera, and Merced. We are located in Eastern Madera County, extending from the floor of the San Joaquin Valley to the crest of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, including a significant amount of territory in the Sierra National Forest. The district encompasses the communities of North Fork, O’Neals, Tesoro Viejo, and Millerton Preserve. Spectacular recreational areas of Bass Lake and Yosemite National Park surround North Fork while the San Joaquin River borders Tesoro Viejo and Millerton Preserve on the eastern side. Job Summary
Under general direction, provides instruction and services for those pupils whose needs have been identified in an individualized educational program developed by the individualized education program team and who are assigned to regular classroom teachers for the majority of the school day. Evaluates and reviews academic and social progress of students, develops and implements the Individualized Education Programs (IEP). Hours: Monday- Friday, 7.5 hrs./day Start Date: As soon as possible
Requirements / Qualifications
Must hold a BA degree. Valid CA Resource Specialist Certification of Competence or Educational Specialist Instruction Credential or Intern eligible.
