Job Summary
Under the direction of the Attendance Technician Lead and the Director of Attendance and Admissions, the Attendance Specialist will compile, post, maintain attendance records and related reports on a regular basis. They will be communicating with principals and counselors on a needed basis regarding attendance related matters. Attendance Specialist will be responsible for the accuracy of attendance accounting information data, and reports performing related work as required. Proof of Highest Level of Education . The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent. . Two years of general clerical or record-keeping experience or one year of the same in a school office.
Experience/Minimum Qualifications: Must possess the ability to: . Record keeping, office organization, and clerical skills . Knowledge of and skill in using common computer-aided office productivity software and specialized applications for data entry of student information . A basic knowledge of the technical aspects of attendance recording . Ability to communicate with a diverse community . A basic understanding of applicable school policies and procedures and State Education Codes related to attendance accounting. . Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others . Meet schedules and timelines . Provide proof of the possession of a valid California driver's license Skills/Qualifications: Must possess an understanding of: . Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy . Operation of a computer and assigned software . Ethical conduct, integrity, and confidentiality applicable to attendance policies and procedures . A comprehensive understanding of attendance accounting standards and practices
