Ocean Grove Charter School (OGCS) is a WASC accredited charter school managed by Innovative Education Management (IEM). The school serves students in Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Benito, Santa Clara, and San Mateo counties. Our family of charter schools include South Sutter, Ocean Grove, and Sky Mountain. Job Summary

Job Summary

The ideal candidate for the position of Administrator of Guidance Support will possess strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving within the organization. They will be a creative thinker with an eye for detail, demonstrating a thorough understanding of independent study learning for grades 9-12 and the ability to structure high school programs to enhance college and career readiness. The candidate will effectively mentor and coach Guidance staff, manage department staff to meet deadlines, and provide a visionary approach to teacher and parent trainings. Additionally, they will offer leadership to school counselors on addressing mental health issues effectively, ensuring comprehensive support for all high school students. This position will work with a highly experienced, motivated, passionate staff of school counselors located throughout California. We are targeting a March 1, 2025 start date, depending upon the selected candidate.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's degree Credentials/Certifications: current teaching credential and/or administrative credential and/or Pupil Personnel Services Credential Experience: Five (5) years related administrative experience and/or high school counseling experience APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: - Application via Edjoin - Letter of interest - Current resume - Unofficial copies of credentials, certifications, and/or transcripts reflecting the position requirements
