The staff has developed a reputation for working with a diverse student population to develop individual student potential by providing high-quality instruction aligned with state standards and supported with 21st century learning skills. Core instruction includes comprehensive traditional academic subjects extended to include character development, digital literacy, art, music, hands-on science, and physical education. All schools offer embedded programs to address specific needs of gifted students and English Learners. Each school maintains a 1.0–1.5 full time positions to support intervention needs for all students. Each student in grades 3-6 has 1:1 access to Chromebooks. In grades K-2 there is one mobile digital device for every two students. All instructional environments include access to high speed wireless connectivity to the internet.

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Services, the Director of Pupil Services will: design, organize. and direct operations and activities to ensure that all students thrive physically. emotionally, and educationally through access to high-quality social emotional learning and community resources: design. supervise. monitor. and ensure compliance of all aspects of Early Education programs, to advance equitable outcomes for all young children: provide leadership and support to site-based staff in their assigned work to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies associated with student study teams, plans responsive to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. lndividualized Education Programs (IEPs) responsive to the lndividuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), student discipline, behavioral support services. behavior intervention plans. maintenance of student records, school attendance, response to truancy, mandated suspension and expulsion. as well as alternative measures: provide leadership and support to site-based staff in their assigned work to implement and evaluate high quality implementation of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curricula. Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Positive Behavioral lnterventions and Supports (PBIS); develop and facilitate professional learning for assigned staff in a variety of developmental areas, including: special education, social emotional learning: principles of diversity, equity and inclusion: positive behavior support; and restorative justice and progressive discipline strategies; and design. supervise, monitor. ensure compliance of all aspects of school security and student safety. crisis management. and disaster preparedness; and supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned classified and certificated personnel.
