Requirements / Qualifications
This position requires a Food Sanitation Certificate. This position will require demonstrated cooking ability. The cooking demonstration will be scheduled once the hiring manager screens the applications. Under the direction of the Child Nutrition Services Manager, candidate will prepare, cook, bake and serve a variety of foods in quantity at an assigned middle or high school site; assist in other food preparation duties for cafeteria and snack bar operations; maintain facilities in a clean and sanitary condition. This position will work the summer school at a high school. Non-work days will be scheduled outside of summer school program days. Qualifications: Candidate must be a high school graduate, possess a Food Sanitation Certificate, and have two years experience with cooking and baking food in large quantities. Candidate must have the physical capacity to work effectively in a kitchen environment, which includes lifting up to 40 pounds. Candidate must be able to plan, organize, coordinate work, train, and provide direction to others. Experience with high volume scratch cooking is preferred.
