About the Employer

We provide high-quality educational programs for students and families seeking alternatives to the traditional public school setting. Visions In Education has successfully supported students and families for over 25 years and is a growing, thriving organization. Our success is rooted in hiring the most qualified teachers and staff, and helping them acquire the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. We have a dynamic and cohesive team and many of our staff have been at Visions for over 15 years. Visions In Education provides competitive salaries, a generous medical/dental/vision benefits package as well as STRS/PERS retirement contributions. Our students and families choose Visions as their school because we provide outstanding teachers, personalized learning plans, enrichment opportunities, standards-based curriculum choices, and effective student support systems and technologies to help them achieve their educational goals. We are a tuition-free, WASC-accredited (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) public charter school that provides a rigorous standards-based education to Home School students (TK-8) and Independent Study High School students (9-12), including our University Prep Early College High School program serving 7,500 students across our nine-county service area, making us one of the largest and most stable charter schools in the Sacramento Valley region.

Job Summary

Job Summary

Visions In Education is seeking a Mod/Severe credentialed teacher for the 2025/2026 school year. Serving our students and families can be rewarding for teachers who are looking to provide a personalized approach to learning for students across the educational spectrum. Specifically, we are looking for teachers who believe in the importance of tailoring education to meet students’ needs and are committed to ensuring that all our students thrive academically and social-emotionally. Teachers start on the salary schedule based upon semester units beyond their Bachelors. Visions step 1 is similar in pay to step 7 of surrounding districts and for that reason, most teachers start on step 1 of our salary schedule. For positions with credentials that are difficult to fill, additional steps may be given. $63,358 (0-29 units) $66,400 (30-60 units) $72,110 (60 or more units) Visions has a 20 step salary schedule for teachers which includes a 4.5% salary increase each school year until they reach Step 10. Visions teachers on Step 10, with 60+ units, earn up to $107,164. Teachers on Step 20, with 60+ units, earn up to $114,665. Our teachers are the core of what makes Visions a sought-after option by families seeking an alternative to the traditional school model. In turn, we provide our employees with a valuable, high-quality benefits package to support health and work-life balance. Our comprehensive plans offer medical coverage (Kaiser, Western Health Advantage, and Sutter Health Plus), dental coverage (Delta Dental) and vision coverage (VSP). These plans include options for 100% employer-paid coverage for employee-only levels. Visions offers a short and long-term disability program along with a $100,000 basic life insurance package for employees at no cost. Visions also participates with the CalSTRS and CalPERS retirement programs. More information regarding our school can be found by visiting www.viedu.org.
