QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to: Graduation from high school including/supplemented by courses in typing and office practices; and one (1) year of general office clerical and typing experience. Additional college and/or accounting experience are desirable. Ability to pass the District Proficiency Examination at the level appropriate to the job classification. ABILITY TO: Perform mathematical computations in connection with ordering and price-setting. Make effective decisions and take independent action. Multi-task and complete expected duties in a timely manner while working in an active office environment under pressure. Read, interpret, apply, and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Perform clerical duties such as filing, duplicating and word processing. Type/keyboard 45 wpm. Follow oral and written directions. Use time management techniques to organize and prioritize work. Operate a computer and use the Internet and related software as well as peripheral equipment. Maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the performance of required duties. Operate a variety of office equipment.
