Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Supporting Inclusive Practices (SIP) Department Director and/or designee, this position is responsible for supporting LEAs in the Supporting Inclusive Practices Grant (SIP) to improve outcomes for students with disabilities. The Program Specialist will be responsible for supporting Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to include schools, districts, charter schools, and local, regional, and statewide partners in their endeavor to provide quality services and programs to students with disabilities.

This is a grant-funded position. Home office required within required county with travel regularly to locations in Greater Tehama and surrounding counties to provide support to grantee LEA's. Periodic statewide travel and to Placerville, CA office required as needed. Essential Duties: Program Specialists will provide technical assistance, training, and support to LEAs in implementing special education support and services for students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment. For more information about the Supporting Inclusive Practices project visit: www.sipinclusion.org Required Qualifications: - Valid Special Education Credential or Pupil Personnel Services Credential or Administrative Services Credential or Master's Degree in education or related field with a valid California credential. - Minimum five (5) years' experience in an educational setting in programs that may include special education or general education. Desired Qualifications: - Master's Degree - Administrative Experience
