We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Long-Term Guest Teacher to join our high school English department. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging and effective instruction for English I CP (College Preparatory) and English IV CP classes. This position covers instruction for freshmen and seniors during the assigned teacher's absence.

Responsibilities:

• Instructional Delivery: Teach English I CP to freshmen and English IV CP to seniors, aligning lessons with existing curriculum objectives and standards.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, respectful, and focused classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Lesson Planning: Utilize pre-established lesson plans where provided or prepare lessons that meet curriculum goals and suit diverse learning needs.
• Assessment and Feedback: Administer assessments, grade assignments, and provide timely, constructive feedback to students.
• Student Engagement: Foster critical thinking, discussion, and literary analysis skills through interactive and collaborative learning activities.
• Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and school staff regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Professional Conduct: Uphold school policies and act as a role model for students in behavior and attitude.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Previous experience teaching high school English is highly desirable.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
