Our basketball programs are designed to encourage teamwork, discipline, leadership, and academic success while helping young athletes reach their full potential both on and off the court. Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Boys and/or Girls Basketball Coach to lead and develop our basketball teams at 5-8 grade levels. The ideal candidate will have strong coaching experience, a deep understanding of the game, and a passion for mentoring young athletes. This role involves leading practices, coaching games, and supporting the overall growth of the players both as athletes and individuals. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop the basketball team(s) for the Boys and/or Girls program(s) Plan and conduct effective practices to improve individual skills, teamwork, and basketball knowledge. Develop game strategies and provide in-game coaching. Foster a positive, encouraging environment that promotes sportsmanship, leadership, and academic excellence. Collaborate with athletic directors, parents, and other school staff to ensure the success of the program. Ensure discipline, adherence to rules, and positive team behavior. Monitor the academic progress of athletes and promote a balanced student-athlete lifestyle. Actively recruit players and promote the program in the school and community. Qualifications: Proven experience coaching basketball, preferably at the high school or middle school level. Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals, strategies, and player development. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes to achieve their potential. First Aid and CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Previous experience

GOAL:

 

Under supervision of the school site administrator to provide safe and constant playground supervision of students during recess periods, lunch and at other times as assigned by the site administrator; and to do related work as assigned.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Assist students with appropriate cafeteria behavior when lining up, having lunch, and leaving the lunch area in an orderly manner.

 

  • Recognize that an emergency situation exists and know how to request emergency assistance.

 

  • Be aware of and implement all site playground rules and regulations.

 

  • Supervise and monitor students during assigned playground supervision periods.

 

  • Utilize appropriate disciplinary procedures and techniques in accordance with the school site discipline plan.

 

  •  Be aware of and enforce school safety standards at all times.

 

  • Report any unsafe playground conditions, including equipment, to the site administrator immediately.

 

  • Responsible for providing a safe, clean and orderly lunch period for all students
