<b>JOB SUMMARY:</b> Under supervision, of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides behavior support services for school site teams. Works with students who demonstrate behavior that impacts their education, and are supported via an Individualized Education Program (IEP). Support services include student observations, consultation with a BCBA and school staff. May perform services to students in a language other than English, and performs related work as required. <b>LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES:</b> • Active Registered Behavior Technician Certificate. • A valid California driver’s license is required at the time of appointment. • CPR certification is desirable. ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum of one year of experience as Instructional Assistant or Student Attendant. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school district personnel and students, perform a variety of complex tasks, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, carry out instructions, and prepare reports as required. • Knowledge of correct language usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. California state law requires that all personnel working in an instructional setting must demonstrate proficiency in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics. Applicants must pass the Registered Behavior Technician Competency Assessment or must be able to provide proof of a passing score within three months of employment. • Education requirement of graduation from high school or equivalent, preferably supplemented by two years of college course work in childcare specialization or equivalent.
