Job Summary
San Marino Unified School District is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate ELD (English Language Development)/Reading Intervention Teacher to support students in developing essential language and literacy skills. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with classroom teachers to provide targeted instruction and interventions, fostering academic growth and success for English learners and students needing additional reading support. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver small-group and individualized instruction in English language development and reading intervention. Assess students’ language and literacy levels using appropriate diagnostic tools and monitor progress regularly. Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate ELD and literacy strategies into core curriculum areas. Develop and implement research-based interventions tailored to students' individual needs. Provide a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes student confidence and engagement. Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and administrators. Participate in professional development and stay informed on best practices in ELD and literacy instruction. Ensure compliance with state and district policies related to English learners and intervention programs.

Cover Letter, Resume, Three letters of recommendation Qualifications: * Valid California Teaching Credential with authorization in English Language Development (CLAD, BCLAD, or equivalent). * Reading Certificate * Experience in teaching English learners and/or providing reading interventions. * Strong knowledge of language acquisition, literacy development, and intervention strategies. * Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. * Ability to create and implement engaging, standards-based lessons tailored to diverse learners. Preferred Qualifications: * Master’s degree in Education, Reading, TESOL, or a related field. * Experience with data-driven instruction and progress monitoring tools. * Familiarity with programs such as Guided Reading, RTI (Response to Intervention), and EL (English Learner) frameworks.
