Requirements / Qualifications
This position requires a Pool Maintenance Worker Test. Testing schedule TBD. Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, clean athletic offices, pools, and facilities of an assigned school during an assigned shift; perform minor repair and maintenance and assure security of school during assigned hours. Qualifications: Any combination equivalent to: sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above and one year of pool maintenance experience including pool chemical applications. Candidate must have knowledge of modern cleaning methods, including basic methods of cleaning and preserving floors, carpets, furniture, walls, fixtures, pools, and athletic facilities; knowledge of cleaning materials, disinfectants, and equipment used in custodial work; knowledge of safety practices and work methods, policies and objectives of assigned program and activities; knowledge of proper lifting techniques, pool maintenance methods and equipment, and basic record-keeping techniques are required. Candidate must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, as well as performing basic math for pool chemicals. The ability to interact with the public is essential.
