Under the direction of the Maintenance & Operations Supervisor, perform a variety of skilled maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities, involving one or more specialized skills in the building trades; perform the remainder of duties in other building crafts. This classification of Skilled Maintenance Worker - General is at the journey level in which incumbents are expected to perform a variety of skilled trades, such as but not limited to, carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, locksmith, and welding. Incumbents are expected to work in several of the skilled areas and are available for assignment on a project basis. Skilled Maintenance Worker - General may work with other skilled maintenance workers who are specialists in a particular trade and may be assigned to them on a project basis.
