Job Summary
The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for a Program Specialist, System of Supports for the Whole Child and Community Design department of the Student Services and Programs division. The Program Specialist, System of Supports is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing comprehensive services promoting positive school climate and culture through a restorative justice lens; providing specialized technical, consultative, advisory, and planning services to LEAs to establish programs and initiatives promoting a safe, welcoming, and positive school climate; supporting restorative justice practices programming, standards, curriculum, and assessment to ensure restorative justice practices are integrated into instruction and daily practices aligned with the district’s vision and strategic plan. Serves as a lead for the coordination and alignment of school climate services and initiatives across LEAs within the Whole Child and Community Design department

This position requires the following Education and Experience and Certificates, Licenses, Credentials:
Education and Experience:
Education: A master’s degree in education, social work, sociology, psychology or related field; and
Experience: Five years of experience in a lead capacity related to research and application of systemic implementation, improvement and increased student engagement utilizing strategies and initiatives designed to improve school climate.

Equivalency: A combination of a A combination of education and experience equivalent to a master’s degree in education, social work, sociology, psychology, or closely related field, and five (5) years of experience in a lead capacity related to research and application of systemic implementation, improvement and increased student engagement utilizing strategies and initiatives designed to improve school climate.
