Job Description: Soccer Coach (Semitropic School District) The Semitropic School District is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Soccer Coach to lead our soccer program. The ideal candidate will inspire students, helping them develop their soccer skills while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and a passion for the game. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and lead soccer practices, drills, and activities tailored to student athletes. • Teach fundamental soccer techniques, rules, and game strategies. • Promote a positive, inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. • Ensure the safety of all participants during practices and games. • Collaborate with school staff and parents to coordinate game schedules, transportation, and other logistics. • Provide support and encouragement to students of all skill levels, helping them build confidence on and off the field. • Supervise students during practices, games, and any related events. Qualifications: • Experience coaching or playing soccer, preferably with youth athletes. • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage young players. • Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for youth development through sports. • Must pass background checks and have fingerprint clearance on file before beginning employment. REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of the English Language
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with adults and children
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions

 

GOAL:

 

Under supervision of the school site administrator to provide safe and constant playground supervision of students during recess periods, lunch and at other times as assigned by the site administrator; and to do related work as assigned.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Assist students with appropriate cafeteria behavior when lining up, having lunch, and leaving the lunch area in an orderly manner.

 

  • Recognize that an emergency situation exists and know how to request emergency assistance.

 

  • Be aware of and implement all site playground rules and regulations.

 

  • Supervise and monitor students during assigned playground supervision periods.

 

  • Utilize appropriate disciplinary procedures and techniques in accordance with the school site discipline plan.

 

  •  Be aware of and enforce school safety standards at all times.

 

  • Report any unsafe playground conditions, including equipment, to the site administrator immediately.

 

  • Responsible for providing a safe, clean and orderly lunch period for all students
