Requirements / Qualifications

There is currently one part-time (16 hours per week) position available. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience involving youth activities and programs. Relevant experience, education, certificates and/or licenses may be substituted. Requires a valid California Driver’s License, CPR & First Aid Certificate (online certificates are not accepted). See approved provider list in Links section. SB1626 Training Certificate required within 6 mos. of employment.

SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process will include screening to ensure application and supplemental questionnaire are complete and applicant meets minimum qualifications. The process will include a written exam for all qualified applicants scheduled for November 2024. Candidates achieving a passing score of 70% on the written exam will be invited to the oral exam scheduled for November 2024. Passing score is 70% on each exam. The district-wide eligibility list is valid for one year and will be used to fill part-time, full-time, and substitute positions in this classification. The top three ranks of candidates will receive departmental interviews. Additional interviews will be conducted in rank order until all open positions are filled and as vacancies become available.
