QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE • Any combination of training and/or experience to acquire the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform required duties equivalent to the completion of a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of five (5) years of professional journeyman-level HVAC, refrigerant, boilers, and Low/High Voltage electrical maintenance and repair work; • Possession of a valid California Driver’s License; • Possession of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Universal Refrigerant Certification 608. DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE • Certification as a qualified journey-level HVAC mechanic from an approved institution; • Tech 360 Training, TRANE Training, Bard Manufacturing Training, and/or Rheem Academy Training; • Samsung HVAC Certification, North American Technician Excellence (NATE) Certification, and/or York HVAC Certification; • Various HVAC electrical, Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF), and Ductless Systems Certifications; • Power Actuated Anchoring Systems Certification for concrete construction, Certification in Low and/or High Voltage Electrical and Boiler Operator, and/or American Welding Society Certified Welder Certification; • Experience in using various Energy Management Systems (EMS)/Building Management Systems (BMS) software; • Experience working on, but not limited to, Carrier Commercial products; • Experience training staff in HVAC work.
