The Calaveras County Office of Education (“CCOE”) partners with our four local school districts and the community to provide quality education to our county’s 5,270 students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grades. We manage alternative education programs for students at Calaveras River Academy, Mountain Oaks Charter School (an Independent Study program), and Oakendell Community School. We also offer adult education services, and a variety of special education services as the Responsible Local Agency (“RLA”) for the Special Education Local Plan Area (“SELPA”); including, five special education preschool programs and a program for transition-aged young adults (ages 18-22). Job Summary
Position: Grant Implementation Specialist (Short-Term, Part-Time, Temporary) Grant: California Youth Behavioral Health Initiative School Linked Partnerships and Capacity Building Grant Overview: The Grant Implementation Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation of the California Youth Behavioral Health Initiative School Linked Partnerships and Capacity Building grant within Calaveras County. This position will require strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to improving the behavioral health outcomes for youth in the community. Responsibilities: Grant Management: Oversee the overall implementation of the grant, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and deliverables; Monitor grant expenditures and prepare regular financial reports; Maintain comprehensive grant documentation and records. State Meetings and Partnerships: Represent Calaveras County Office of Education at state-level meetings and conferences related to the grant; Build and maintain relationships with state agencies and partners. Provider Inventory and Support: Conduct a thorough inventory of providers within the county who are eligible to participate in the grant; Provide technical assistance and support to providers in obtaining National Provider Identifier (NPI) numbers; Assist providers with electronic health record system training and implementation. Parent Education Materials: Develop and distribute parent education materials to support Local Education Agencies (LEAs) in engaging families; Collaborate with LEAs to ensure effective dissemination of parent education resources. Data Management and Quality Assurance: Establish procedures and policies for data entry at school sites to ensure accuracy and consistency; Train school staff on the use of electronic health record systems; Monitor data quality and conduct regular audits to identify and address any issues.
