The Baldwin Park Unified School District is seeking a highly qualified Early Childhood Education (ECE) Lead Teacher for the Tri-Cities Head Start Program. The Lead Teacher will support ECE teachers with coaching/mentoring. The Lead Teacher will also assist with program operations and improvement, monitoring and implementation of effective ECE practices through staff and program development. The position adheres to regulations, policies, procedures and practices associated with District, State and Federal Early Childhood Education programs.

Assists with program operations and improvement, monitoring, and implementation of effective early childhood education practices through staff and program development. In the absence of the ECE administrator, the lead teacher maintains the ECE program according to established policies and practices.

Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: -BA Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field -6 semester units of Early Childhood Education in Administration and Adult Supervision -Site Supervisor Permit or higher -Current CPR and First Aid certification (American Red Cross, American Heart Association or EMS Certified) -Completion of Health and Safety course -Valid California Driver's license and current car insurance PREFERENCE: -5 years, or more, of ECE teaching experience, including home visiting experience -Bilingual/Bi-literate (Spanish) -Coaching/Mentoring Experience
