Job Summary
MHSSA TCT Under the direction of an assigned administrator, promotes learning by supporting the behavioral/mental health and well-being of all students. The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the overall management, coordination, development, implementation, and evaluation of school-based mental health/student support services at state, district, and school site levels. The Coordinator oversees programs and interventions, develops partnerships with district and community partners, and assists in systems to support families in overcoming behavioral/mental health challenges. Students/families are supported in the development of effective coping mechanisms, connecting to district, school site and community-based organizations and in developing resilience to promote behavioral/mental health, emotional growth, and academic learning.

Any combination equivalent to a master’s degree in education or related field. Five years of educational experience related to assigned subject area or program. * Valid Teaching or Services Credential and a * Valid Preliminary or Clear Administrative Services Credential * Candidate may be hired without an Administrative Services Credential, provided the following conditions are met: 1. Enrollment Requirement: Must enroll in an approved Administrative Services Credential Program. 2. Waiver Qualification: Candidates need to qualify for a Waiver to start in the position without the credential. 3. Completion Timeline: The Administrative Services Credential Program must be completed within five (5) years of hiring, show yearly progress, and meet all Waiver renewal requirements.
This Coordinator position is a specially funded (categorical) certificated position, as provided in (Ed. Code § 44909). This grant is contingent upon funding, is expected to expire June 30, 2028 and may have the possibility of renewal.
