Sky Mountain Charter School (SMCS) is a WASC accredited charter school managed by Innovative Education Management (IEM). The school serves students in San Bernardino, Inyo, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside Counties. Our family of charter schools include South Sutter, Ocean Grove, and Sky Mountain. Job Summary
The Education Specialist Teacher (ES) provides broad professional support, direct instruction, advice and counsel, evaluation of learning progress in meeting the educational needs that prepare the student socially, emotionally, personally and intellectually. The Education Specialist Teacher (ES) is highly organized and detail oriented, possesses excellent communication skills, participates in group responsibilities, is proficient in the use of technology, promotes school policies and the ‘individualized’ learning procedures for all assigned students. Creativity and productivity are encouraged. The incumbent is expected to remain calm under pressure, work cooperatively with others to provide the highest level of service possible and work in accordance with the Guiding Principles of the organization.

Sky Mountain Charter School is a non-classroom based, personalized learning charter school. We are looking for qualified Single Subject or Multiple Subject K-12 teachers with ELA Certification. Single Subject credentials are preferred. Applicants must have a computer with a printer and reliable internet connection for this position. Our teachers work from home, so they must provide their own office space. Additionally, a reliable vehicle, current drivers license, and insurance are required for all applicants.
**Credential Copy cannot be a certificate. It must include the date of issuance and expiration as well as the credential number.

- Credential Copy (Proof of a valid Multiple Subject or Single Subject Credential is required. Please make a PDF print out from the CTC of your credential that reflects dates of issuance and expiration.)
- English Learner Authorization (If not embedded in your credential, please provide proof of CLAD or CTEL on your credential.)
- Letter of Introduction (Specific to the position you are applying for)
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three current letters)
