The program is center-based program with full-day and part-day options. The program services begins in August through May of each year. Madera Migrant/Seasonal Head Start serves children 6 weeks old to 5 years old that live in Madera County. The Migrant program has two seasons, traditional and winter. The traditional program runs from May to end of October and the winter program runs from early-November to February. Hours of service are between 8 to 10 hours per day. Early Head Start is a home-based program created to teach parents how to become their child’s first teacher. The program serves 0 – 3 years old including pregnant mothers. The Family Facilitator visits the home once a week for an hour and a half. Socialization is held twice a month where parents bring their children to interact and participate in activities provided by Family Facilitators. Early Head Start is an all year round program."

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. 4 years of supervisory experience. Must hold a Site Supervisor Permit. Ensures a minimum of 15 hours of professional growth hours are completed and documented annually. OR Bachelor’s degree in Human Development or related field. 6 years of supervisory experience. Must hold a Program Director Permit. Ensures a minimum of 15 hours of professional growth hours are completed and documented annually.

Must have a current and valid Site Supervisor or Program Director Permit. Possess Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification bi-annually.
