Job Summary

The Certified Wellness Coach l (CWC l) is a state-certified profession established by California’s Department of Health Access and Information (HCAI) as part of the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative. The role of the CWC l is to assist CWC ll and School Counselors in ensuring delivery of information and recommendations to parents and students and assisting in the development of goals and plans for achievement. Coaching and related services performed may include: Wellness promotion and education Care Coordination Individual and group support The Certified Wellness Coach I works under the direction of the Wellness Coordinator and Site Admin and is intended to offer mental health and wellness services to students throughout GTA. The CWC l will offer mental health and wellness services to students individually and/or in small groups. Additionally, The Wellness Coach l will support the School Counselors in providing classroom-based social emotional learning (SEL) to all students along a Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS). As directed, the Wellness Coach l will support as needed with projects and events related to Wellness for Staff, Students and Families.

Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Human Services, Addiction Studies, Child Development/Early Intervention, psychology or Sociology. Minimum one-year prior experience working in an educational setting or other youth-oriented program desired. Receive either a Certified Wellness Coach I or Registered-Certified Wellness Coach I Certification

Position start and end date: September 25, 2024 - June 13, 2025 DOJ Livescan required prior to employment TB test required prior to employment
