Under general administrative direction of the Chief Business Official. Plans, organizes and manages the operation of the district-wide Food Services/Nutrition Services Department. Supervises the office staff and kitchen employees and manages food, equipment and supply purchases. In charge of menu management, budget administration, nutrition training and meal distribution. Ensures quality, cost efficient food preparation, and the maintenance of safe and sanitary conditions in conformance with Federal, State and local regulations and school district policies. Performs other job related duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Possession of a valid California driver’s license (as appropriate to the assignment) • Certification of the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals having completed and passed the Food Safety Manager Certification Examination within 90 days of employment. • First Aid (including the Heimlich Maneuver) and CPR within 90 days of employment.
