Requirements / Qualifications
THE POSITION: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Curriculum and Instruction or designee, support the Visual and Performing Arts program for elementary and middle school students by providing instructional activities and facilitating student engagement in Visual and Performing Arts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED required and some experience in working with children. Some college-level coursework in visual and performing arts is desirable. Experience in visual and performing arts is also desirable. Possession of a valid CA driver’s license. THE EXAMINATION: Applicants are required to pass the Basic Skills Test for Instructional Assistants which covers English usage and proficiency, simple arithmetic through elementary algebra, reading comprehension, and the ability to assist in instruction.
