New Opportunities Organization is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic educators to join our collaborative in-custody instructional team. We are currently hiring teachers with expertise in core academic subjects such as Math, Science, English, Social Science, and Adult Basic Education. Ideal candidates possess a strong commitment to student success and employ strengths-based pedagogy to make an immediate impact on the lives of our students. At New Opportunities, we empower men and women aged 18 and above to earn their high school diploma. Minimum qualifications include holding a valid California Teaching Credential, which may include Single-subject and/or Multiple-subject credentials, or a Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential. Requirements to be considered for the High School Diploma (HSD) teacher position: -A valid California Teaching Credential in the following categories: Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, or Single Subject Teaching Credential in a core academic subject area(s), or Adult Education Teaching Credential or Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential: Full-Time/Regular in Elementary and Secondary Basic, or a core high school subject area. -English Language Learner Authorization -Experience with Independent Studies curriculum preferred -Bilingual preferred
