About the Employer

We are a unified school district serving more than 16,150 students in grades K -12. We have thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools and one K-8 school. We also offer a home schooling program, adult education courses and other unique programs to fit the needs of all students. Our school district employs approximately 1,100 certificated and nearly 900 classified employees. Antioch Unified School District is centrally located in the East Bay and provides ready access to scenic mountains, waterfronts, wine country, historical sites and the Pacific Ocean. Antioch is known as the “Gateway to the Delta” and is one of California’s oldest cities, with a diverse community of approximately 100,000. Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION: Under direction of the Executive Director, Operations or designee, assist with planning, organizing and monitoring the activities and operations of assigned construction projects; coordinate and develop construction, reconstruction, alteration relocation and other modernization and capital outlay projects including technology infrastructure and equipment installation and configurations. Plan and coordinate E-Rate funding opportunities for technology related infrastructure and equipment installation and upgrades.

Unit: AMA Current Vacancies: 1 Classification Hours / Work Year: 8 Hours Day / 12 Months Salary Range 523 : Step A $8,540.41 (Min) to Step F $10,933.01 (Max.) Promotional/Open: The promotional group as well as the al public may apply. The promotional side of the eligibility list shall take precedence when certifying eligibles. APPLICATION DEADLINE: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2024, by 4:30 P.M. Completed application, resume and answers to supplement questions are required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school or equivalent and five years of recent experience working construction and contract administration. E-Rate Program (Schools and Libraries Program of the Universal Service Fund) experience desired. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver’s license. SELECTION & EXAMINCATIONS: The selection process will consist of an application screening for completeness and qualifications. An application evaluation (weighted 10%) and an oral interview exam (weighted 90%) will be conducted. A passing score must be achieved on all exams to be placed on the eligibility list. Final selections will be made from the three highest accepting ranks off the eligibility list.
