Under general supervision performs a variety of skilled craft work in the maintenance and upkeep of school buildings, facilities, and miscellaneous equipment; checks, services, cleans and maintains stationary and mechanical school equipment; and performs other related work as required. Minimum Experience: Three years of general repair and maintenance at a skilled level, or at least one year of journeyman experience in one or a combination of the construction trades. Varied training and experience in more than one skilled trade is highly desirable. Individuals possessing the experience, knowledge, and abilities listed above are considered to possess the necessary education.Formalized schooling in the skilled trade area is highly desirable. Candidates are required to attach a recent DMV driving record to the employment application.
