Under the supervision of the Executive Director of the East San Gabriel Valley SELPA, the SELPA Program Specialist(s) will be responsible for the coordination and monitoring of all projects and activities related to SELPA grants/contracts pertaining to the California Early Childhood Special Education Network (CalECSE). The SELPA Program Specialist(s) will ensure that all CalECSE tools, resources, trainings, and technical assistance are timely, high-quality, and align with the overarching goals and requirements of the California Department of Education. Must have an Education Specialist Instruction credential, and three years applicable teaching experience in special education. Preferred: Master’s Degree, Pupil Personnel Services with school psychology authorization, and/or Administrative Services credential.

      The SELPA Program Specialist(s) are funded 100% by grants/contracts awarded by the California Department of Education to the East San Gabriel Valley SELPA. The SELPA has secured funding for the 2024-2025, 2025-2026, and 2026-2027 school years at this time. If additional funding is secured to extend the grants/contracts beyond July 1, 2027, employment in this capacity may also be extended.
