Central Union High School District is looking for highly motivated individuals who will help accomplish our mission of preparing students for college and/or career. The requirements for this position are: High School Diploma or equivalent, and complete two years of higher education study (48 semester hours of Core academic subjects), OR hold an Associate’s degree, OR pass a formal state or local academic assessment that demonstrates knowledge of the ability to assist in teaching reading, writing, and mathematics or reading, writing, and mathematics readiness, Prior job related experience, paid or volunteer, with school age children, First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificates (may be required by position), Valid driver’s license (may be required by position). The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have good attendance and a friendly demeanor, and align with the District's core values of honesty, integrity and respect. The “Instructional Assistant – General Classroom” assists (under direct supervision) in the supervision and instruction of students; and assisting teachers with clerical duties.

Selected candidates will take a proficiency test. *Prior job-related experience. *Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance, Tuberculosis Screening, A.A/A.S. degree or equivalent, and/or local academic assessment. *First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificates (may be required by position). Valid driver’s license (may be required by position). Job related proficiency test (may be required by position). Job related language proficiency test (may be required by position).
