Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Superintendent provides supervision and leadership for the translation of the District's Educational philosophy, goals, and objectives into active services and programs that directly benefit each individual student. Effectively assists the Superintendent in the task of providing leadership in developing, achieving, and maintaining the best possible educational programs and services at each school in the District. The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for a broad range of administrative and technical duties, including, but not limited to coordinating the utilization of Federal and Special funding opportunities to as great an advantage as possible to benefit the educational excellence of the District's programs, facilities, and personnel. Supervises the implementation of all regular, State, Federal, and special educational programs within the District.
