V. / H-6 Printout (Required) It shall be the applicant’s responsibility to supply copies of resumes, certificates of proficiency, letters of recommendation and any other material desired to be included in the application. Pre-Placement physical and drug screening will be required of new employees in this classification.

Drives a bus over a designated route in conformity with an established time schedule; picking up and discharging pupils at designated stops; supervises conduct of pupils being transported; transports children and teachers on field trips; assists in maintaining the bus equipment in clean and safe condition; sweeps the interior of buses and maintains windows in clean condition at all times; keep simple records and make reports; vacuum carpets, sweep, mop and wax floors; cleans and pickup up paper on grounds; empties and cleans waste in pick-up containers; attends training and safety sessions as required; reports unsafe conditions and adheres to all safety regulations related to AHERA; performs other duties as required by Supervisor. REQUIREMENTS Completion of the twelfth grade or G. E. D. Meet the physical requirements necessary to safely and effectively perform the assigned duties. Ability to learn procedures, schedules, understand and carry out oral and written directions; perform moderately heavy manual activities; work independently; knowledge of common methods, materials and equipment used in this position; knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices, provisions of the California Motor Vehicle Code and the Education Code applicable to the operation of vehicles in the transportation of school children; basic preventive maintenance requirements of automotive equipment; establish and maintain cooperative relationships with all employees. Minimum of six (6) months experience as a bus driver. One (1) years’ experience in the care and cleaning of buildings and facilities. Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License, a valid California Special Drivers Certificate with a Class P Endorsement.
