The mission of Gabriella Charter Schools is to join academic rigor with the creativity of dance to engage the hearts and minds of young people in underserved communities, empowering them to excel both inside and outside the classroom. Gabriella Charter Schools is composed of two high-performing, dance-themed charter schools in the Los Angeles community. GCS 1 serves grades TK-8 and is located in the community of Echo Park. GCS 2 serves grades TK-8 and is located in the community of Historic South Central. The Resource Teacher is an instructional leader who helps students with disabilities grow to meet their full potential. Working in collaboration with classroom teachers, other RSP teachers, electives teachers, other support personnel (e.g., school psychologist, school counselors, occupational therapists, speech therapists, etc.) and school administrators, the Resource Teacher plans and delivers instruction and support to those students identified with disabilities in alignment with students’ IEP goals.
