Downtown College Prep (DCP) prepares first-generation students for college success and beyond. DCP was the first charter school in Silicon Valley and currently operates one high school and two middle schools in San Jose, CA. DCP currently serves students in grades 5-12. Job Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Director of Finance (DOF) is responsible for supporting the fiscal operations of the organization in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and in service of DCP’s strategic goals and objectives. The Director of Finance will be the primary point of interface with the organization’s back office provider, Charter Impact (CI). CI provides payroll, AP, budgeting, accounting and financial reporting functions.

Comments and Other Information
We are looking for someone with an appropriate business education with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance and while an MBA would be a plus, it is not required.
The candidate should have at least 8 years of successful track record in financial analysis and controllership experience.
