A COMPLETE on-line application profile REQUIRES the following documentation: •Letter of interest, attention Dr. Edward Atkinson, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources •A current resume •Three letters of recommendation • Copies of all college transcripts (Unofficial copies are acceptable, however we cannot accept transcripts that have been downloaded from a website) • A copy of your valid CA Designated Subject Special Subject teaching credential(s) (Reserve Officer Training Corps) with an English Learner Authorization (screenshot from CTC showing expiration dates and details DO NOT attach certificate) (A Supplementary Authorization WILL NOT meet the assignment) If the candidate is only missing the US Constitution requirement listed, a Preliminary Special Subjects credential may be issued for 1 year. Once the US Constitution requirement is met, the document will be extended the additional 4 years. **All attachments must be submitted onto your EdJoin online application. Requirements for five-year Preliminary Credential: 1.Verify 4 years experience (at least 1 year of the experience must be within the 3-year period immediately preceding the issuance of the credential) or education: experience must be verified by the branch of the military service sponsoring the program in the employing school district. 2. Obtain the recommendation of the branch of military service sponsoring the program in the employing school district. 3. Must be a retired Army officer in paygrades CWO2 to O6. 4. Must have satisfied ONE of the following: Complete a 2 semester/3 quarter unit course in the Provisions and Principals of the US Constitution at a regionally-accredited college or university (and be able to submit a copy of the course description for evaluation purposes). 5. Obtain verification by the Employing School District or CCTC-approved program sponsor that the applicant is aware of the requirements to CLEAR the preliminary.
