Job Summary

Under general supervision of a classroom teacher, the Teacher Assistant supports a program that allows students to participate in their environment as independently as possible. The Teacher Assistant supports the instruction, care, and supervision of developmentally, communicatively, or physically disabled children and youth. The scope of duties includes a variety of general classroom assistance, physical assistance, and specialized health care assistance. Employee will also serve in the SAFE Program (Siskiyou Afterschool For Everyone). Most of the duties remain the same. Assist Site Coordinator with student enrichment activities and to be an active, engaged adult for our children.
