Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Director of Child Development Services, and the Site Coordinator serves as the lead instructor of a site-based child development program which may include School Readiness, Preschool, and/or Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten wrap-around programs. May assist in out of school time programs as needed.

-Child Development Teacher Permit or higher (Site Supervisor preferred). -Associate's Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education OR the equivalent that includes 24 semester units of college coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. -Meet the requirements of Community Care Licensing, Title 22: 12 units, 1 three-unit course in each of the following: child/human growth and development; child/family/community or child and family relations; child care programs; child care curriculum. -At least three years of experience equivalent to a child development instructor or other child development worker position At least three years of experience equivalent to a child development instructor or other child development worker position. Desirable Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field. Child Development Site Supervisor Permit.

      Location: Olinda Elementary Calender: 8.0 hrs./day, 5 days/week, 9.5 mos./year Work Hours: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm California School Employees Association Agreement (CSEA), Article VI, 6.1.3 states: "Voluntary transfer/promotion requests by an employee for any opening shall be given prior consideration over a new employee." Article VI, 6.3.2 states: "When a new position is created or an existing position becomes vacant, the District shall first offer the opportunity to transfer or to seek promotion to bargaining unit employees."
