Job Summary

Under the direction of the Chief Officer or designee, Fiscal Compliance Coordinator coordinates, plans, develops, reviews, evaluates, and provides guidance and oversight on District-wide programs and projects in areas such as budget and finance, operations and safety, strategic planning, technology, communications and marketing, contracts administration, operational efficiency and problem-solving, and coordination of professional development. The Fiscal Compliance Coordinator is also responsible for grant management oversight to ensure compliance with funding agency requirements; reviewing grant proposals and applications; coordinating grant monitoring and evaluation activities; and serving as the technical expert of assigned grants.

A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in a related field, which may include Business Administration or related field is required. A master’s degree is preferred. Experience At least three years or more years of experience in project management, grant administration, or related work is required. Experience in a Local Education Agency (LEA) is highly preferred. LEA managerial experience is preferred. Accounting experience is preferred, but not required.

Knowledge of: Local, state, and federal funding sources and the ability to locate potential sources for funding Grant funding policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal regulations Comprehensive understanding of compliance guidelines and requirements, including FCMAT standards, Federal Program Monitoring (FPM) protocols, and procedures for conducting and managing internal and external audits Ability to: Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate proficiency in Google Suite or related software Demonstrate extreme organizational skills and meticulous with details Demonstrate excellent project management skills Prioritize work and resources Meet deadlines Be discreet with personal information that may be needed for some grants such as employee salaries or upcoming projects Any other combination of experience, training, and/or education that could likely provide the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
