Education, Training and Experience •Minimum 48 semester units or possession of an Associate degree or higher OR •Proof of certification through a local assessment which meets the requirements of “No Child Left Behind” AND 6 (six) months of working with students. No Child Left Behind Federal Requirement •High School Graduation or GED •Degree or completion of 48 semester units from accredited college or university –or- County office of Education Certificate showing compliance with NCLB. (SUSD proficiency test taken before 7/1/04 does not meet this requirement) *PROOF OF COMPLIANCE MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH APPLICATION* Possession of valid First Aid Certificate is required within six months from the date of hire. Possession of a valid CPR Certificate is desirable. Previous experience working with children, such as youth groups, instructional aide or any other youth activity is helpful.
