- Education: Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public accounting, finance, business or public administration, or a related field, AND
- Experience: four years increasingly responsible experience in the administration of budgets or accounting including at least two years in an administrative position.
- Valid California driver's license

THE POSITION
The Santa Clara County Office of Education is now accepting applications for Assistant Director - Internal Business Services.
Under the direction of the Director III - Internal Business Services, assists in the management and oversight of the budget, accounting, and student attendance accounting functions for the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE); serves as a resource to administrators regarding State and Federal regulations related to budget and accounting tasks and programs; supervises and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel.
The ideal candidate
• Has a strong grasp of governmental accounting and possesses outstanding communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Has the ability to effectively present and convey information to diverse audiences, regardless of their accounting knowledge, and provide comprehensive training.
• Has the supervisory experience necessary to coordinate the activities of the department and supervise the activities of assigned personnel.
• Is a positive problem solver and team player with the ability to solve issues and make recommendations.
This position is full-time, and has a work year of 12 months/ 261 days/ 8 hour per day.
Leadership team members are eligible to receive a $2,500 annual stipend for a master’s degree and a $2,500 additional stipend for a doctorate, provide official documentation is submitted.

- Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a second interview with the hiring authorities, tentatively scheduled for TBA.
