Job Summary
Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Educational Programs or Coordinator of Special Education, provides assessments and evaluations of health and development status of selected students through nursing diagnosis and the use of appropriate evaluation techniques. Oversees all on-site Special Education contracted nurses or health staff to ensure that the school is in compliance with all mandated assessments and immunizations laws.

Full time position starting on July 22, 2024 for the 24-25 school year Employer Paid Health and Welfare Benefits $11,750 197 Day - 7.5 hours The following longevity payments apply to full time certificated staff and are effective 07/01/2024: o At 5 years of service = $3,000 annually o At 10 years of service = $4,000 annually o At 15 years of service = $5,000 annually o At 20 years of service = $6,000 annually o At 25 years of service = $7,000 annually Minimum Qualifications: • Valid California School Nurse Services Credential Eligibility (Or will be enrolling in a credentialed program for School Nurse) • Current RN (Registered Nurse) license from the California Board of Registered Nurses. Initial Salary Placement:
• Initial step placement upon hire shall be determined by the Director of Human Resources and the Superintendent of Santa Rosa Academy, based on:
o Verification of degree/additional units (column placement) - Units acceptable to initial placement must have been earned subsequent to the B.A. or B.S. degree. Units beyond Column I are semester units. Quarter units are converted to semester units on a scale of three (3) units to two (2) semester units. (Quarter Units x .667 = semester units.) Official transcript or official credit certificate will be required as verification for Column placement within thirty (30) calendar days from first day of paid service. (Column 1-6)
o Verification of years of service (step placement) - Credit will be given for all verified full-time service. A year must equal at least 75% of the calendared work year days in one year. Credit will not be given for substitute or student teaching. Verification of employment will be required on a school verification form within thirty (30) calendar days from first day of paid service. (Steps 1 – 15)
