St. Philomene offers a full curriculum in California Common Core standards teaching Religion, Math, Literature/Reading, Writing/Language, Science, Social Studies, Art, Computer, Music and Physical Education for all students TK – 8th grade in English and Spanish. Our 2nd/3rd grade teacher will teach all Spanish subjects except for PE. A strong emphasis is placed on the Catholic faith and its growth in our students and the student’s progress toward achievement of the Schoolwide Learning Expectations. The teacher is entrusted with the student’s social and personal growth, providing guidance and an example that promotes our mission and philosophy. The teacher performs this trust in cooperation with the parents, who are the primary educators of their children, with the assistance of support staff and school administration.
