Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, serve as a liaison between students, school and the home; make home visits for the purpose of understanding and helping to alleviate the sources or barriers of student problems in relation to school attendance; encourage parental involvement and understanding of school programs; provide information and materials to parents and families to assist them in utilizing community services and local resources; perform a variety of clerical duties.

Experience: Three years’ experience in school or community relations work. Testing: Passing scores on Basic Excel and Basic Word within the last three years. Other: Bilingual/Spanish Preferred

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver's license. Proof must be submitted at time of employment. WORK YEAR AND WORKING HOURS: “A”, 8 hours; 246 days; 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. SALARY: Range 53: $5135 to $6242 per month, in five steps. Family medical and dental benefits available at 100% District paid. TESTING INFORMATION: The following tests will be given by invitation only tentatively on Wednesday, July 10, 2024: Basic Excel and Basic Word. Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be invited to test and notified via email. The same District test may only be taken once every 30 days (15 days for current regular employees).
