Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Superintendent, Student Support Services, the Physical Therapist delivers specialized physical therapy services to eligible students in educational setting. The Physical Therapist assesses, plans, and implements intervention strategies for students aged from infants to 22 years old, focusing on enhancing functional skills and physical well-being. The Physical Therapist collaborates closely with teachers, principals, and staff, delivering personalized therapy services with sound judgment and initiative. This role requires specialized training and licensure in physical therapy practice.

Education and Experience Bachelor or Master Degree in Physical Therapy program from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Experience in planning and providing physical therapy services, predominately to children and adolescents, in school settings, accredited medical centers, hospitals, clinics, and/or agencies, is preferred. Licenses and Certificates Valid physical therapy license registered through the Physical Therapy Board of California or the California Department of Consumer Affairs Valid California driver's license

PURPOSE
To establish a list of eligible candidates that will be used to an anticipated vacancy and future vacancies (part-time, full-time, permanent and temporary) for the duration of the list, up to one year. In anticipation of approval by the Board of Education, the vacancy is a full-time (8 hours/day) position located in the Student Support Services Department of the Simi Valley Unified School District.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Completed applications must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. on July 9, 2024. Late applications and/or certificates will not be accepted.
TESTING PROCESS:
Structured Interview = 100% weighting on final score
Tentatively scheduled for: The week of July 8, 2024.
